Nick Toma Named Evening Co-Anchor on Eyewitness News

(WBRE/WYOU) Nexstar Broadcasting Inc., WBRE-TV names Nick Toma evening co-anchor on Eyewitness News. Nick is from Northern New Jersey and comes to Eyewitness News with nearly 28 years of reporting and anchoring experience.

Nick joins the Eyewitness News team from Nexstar owned, WQRF-TV, the FOX affiliate in Rockford Illinois. His almost three decade career includes reporting and anchoring positions in Watertown N.Y, Springfield Massachusetts, Salt Lake City Utah, Anchorage Alaska and 13 years in Sacramento California. An avid skier and hiker, Nick looks forward to hitting the slopes in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania and enjoying the many hiking trails throughout our region.

Nick will join co-anchor Candice Kelly and Chief Meteorologist Josh Hodell on June 12, 2016. WBRE-TV General Manager and Vice President Robert G. Bee said, “Mr. Toma is a wonderful addition to the Eyewitness News team, his strong journalism background, commitment to viewers and roots to this region of the country will serve our viewers well.” 

Viewers can watch Nick on Eyewitness News each evening, at 5:00 and 5:30 pm on WBRE-TV, at 7pm on WYOU-TV and at 6:00pm and11:00pm on both WBRE-TV and WYOU-TV.  

Current Anchor Drew Speier is leaving Eyewitness News at the end of May to be with family in his home state of Texas.
