New Jersey murder suspect captured in Milford

MILFORD, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – The U.S. Marshal’s Service says its arrested a New Jersey man in Milford who’s wanted in a 2014 murder investigation.

U.S> Marshall Martin J. Pane says 25 year old Angel Toro, formerly of Patterson, New Jersey, was arrested in a Milford home without incident.

Toro, a known MS-13 gang member, was wanted for the March 23, 2014 shooting death of year old Jose Rodriguez of Patterson.

Toro was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service from both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as from the New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police.

“Fugitives charged with homicide are a top priority in apprehending. Victim’s families deserve to face the accused in a court of law…” said Pane in a written statement.

Toro was denied bail is is being held in the Pike County Prison pending his extradition back to New Jersey.
