Nescopeck Water Main Break Repairs Completed

NESCOPECK, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) UPDATE Saturday: Repairs to the main break affecting customers in Nescopeck have been completed.  The precautionary boil advisory remains in effect for all customers.  Pennsylvania American Water is currently collecting samples from our distribution system.   

  To ease this inconvenience, a potable water tanker will be available beginning  Friday evening at the Sunoco on West Third Street, in the rear parking lot. Customers are asked to bring their own containers to fill

FRIDAY Update

Contractors for Pennsylvania American Water are onsite of the water main break in the Susquehanna River impacting customers in Nescopeck.

Due to the location of the break, contractors are working to build a coffer dam to expose the water main to make necessary repairs.

 According to   Susan Turcmanovich spokesperson for Pennsylvania American Water, the company anticipates completing repairs on Saturday afternoon.

The precautionary boil advisory remains in effect for all customers in Nescopeck until further notice.
