WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – The snow has moved in and is blanketing our region this morning. Here’s what we know right now. A winter weather advisory is in effect until 9 a-m this morning. You can expect slippery roads and white out conditions from snow drifting.
PennDOT had speed limit reduction in place on interstates 78, 80, 81, 84 and 3-80 in Wayne, Pike, Monroe, Susquehanna, Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.during the early morning commute. However, by 12:30 pm those restrictions had been lifted .
We had more than 250 school, business and government office delays and closings this morning… That information can be found at at pahomepage dot com.
There were also several flight delays or cancellations at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International airport Wednesday morning, but most afternoon arrivals and departures seem to be on-time. Still, check before you head out the door.
As of right now all Martz buses are operating on time, but the company said the Wall Street Outbound are canceled today. All buses to Pennsylvania are departing from the Port Authority.
And there are some snow parking bans in effect … So check with your local municipality.
