Mumps Outbreak at Temple University

News

PHILADELPHIA – (WBRE/WYOU) At least 10 cases of mumps have been confirmed at Temple University.
A spokesperson for the university says six more cases are suspected, and another is being investigated.
Health officials say the outbreaks tend to be more common on college campuses because people are in close contact.
There is no cure for mumps.
Symptoms include feeling tired, fever, and swollen salivary glands.
