WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in Wilkes-Barre Tuesday night.
According to Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, officers were called to the 100 block of Almond Lane after receiving reports that shots had been fired. Investigation revealed that two males were involved in a dispute in the area of Meade Street which ended in gun shots.
Officials on scene say witnesses told them that there were two men fleeing the area and one had a handgun. Police identified the men as Frederick Colbett and Johnny Jones, both of Newark, New Jersey.
Colbett and Jones were seen fleeing the area of the incident and were stopped by police, who say they searched both men and found drugs and guns.
