Mill Race Golf Course Damaged by Storms and Fire

(WBRE/WYOU-TV)     The storm hit the Mill Race Golf Course and Camping Resort.

It did heavy damage to the clubhouse which later caught on fire.

Dozens of firefighters from several area communities were called in to help battle the blaze.

Crews had a difficult time getting to the fire because of the storm knocking down trees on roadways. The owner says he just bought the golf course, and the damage is extensive.

“We took ownership the end of January we bought the course, my wife and myself, and it’s just a total mess not only this building the golf course is a mess, all the trees are down it’s just terrible, won’t be open for a long time,” Said Roy Redner, Mill Race Golf Course Camp Grounds Owner.

The Camp Ground at Mill Race was also destroyed. Luckily no one was injured. There’s no word how the fire started.
