Meet the first baby born in 2019 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Eyewitness News got a chance to meet the baby taking the title of being the first baby born at Geisinger’s Wyoming Valley Hospital in Plains Township in 2019.

Ella Raijski was born at 5:47a.m. on January 1, 2019. She is the daughter of Stacey and Stanley Raijski of Larksville and she is the sister to three-year-old Noah.

Ella weighed in at seven pounds and five ounces and was 19 inches tall. Her mom said they already have something in common.

“My birthday is tomorrow on January 2nd! I was almost born on New Years Day. My mom thought it would be cool if I had her on New Years Day . So she decided to do that,” Stacey said.

Stacey said her water broke around 6pm on December 31st and instead of rushing to the hospital, they went out for pizza and wings.
