HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Like many teens, Children’s Miracle Network kid Joshua Sanchez loves music. But for the 16-year-old Hazleton boy, music is actually a kind of therapy. Josh has lived with seizures since infancy. They became more frequent during his toddler years and it became apparent Josh had epilepsy. Doctors first used medication to try and control the neurological disorder, but the seizures didn’t stop. Josh eventually was evaluated and underwent a surgery at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville. For Josh, it meant hope to end a serious struggle. You can see more of Joshua’s story during Children’s Miracle Network celebration weekend this Saturday and Sunday. We will broadcast live on WYOU from Geisinger’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville beginning Saturday night at nine.
