Man wanted in a 2016 Carbon County arson case turns himself in

WEATHERLY, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A man wanted in connection with an arson case from 2016 in Carbon County has turned himself in.

Felix Larrinaga-Sanchez, 45, turned himself into the Weatherly Police Department on December 19th.

Larrinaga-Sanchez was charged in September 2018 after a two-year investigation into a fire that destroyed three homes and damaged four others on August 6, 2016. He is facing three counts of arson and one count of criminal conspiracy for engaging in arson.

Larrinaga-Sanchez will be back in court on January 2, 2019.

Larrinaga-Sanchez is the second man charged in this case. David Alzugaray Lugones, 49, faces the same charges. He is in jail.

Police say both men were in the area of 234 Third St. with a black bag when the fire, caused by a lit petroleum product, started in the front of the home and then spread to 238 and 228 Third St.
