Making A Difference: Teens For Jeans

News
Bloomsburg, Columbia County — A Columbia County teenager is doing her part to help homeless kids across the country.

17-year-old Samantha Tyrrell is collecting new and gently used jeans at Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School.

The jeans will be dropped off at the clothing store Aeropostale and then distributed to children in need.

The school will be entered to win a $10,000 prize, and Tyrrell has an opportunity to take home a $4,000 scholarship.

Jeans can be taken to the school or the Elks Lodge in Berwick.  The deadline for the competition is February 16, 2014.
