Lycoming County Sheriff Warns Residents About Scam


The Lycoming County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents about a scam operating in the area

  Some people are  receiving  phone calls from person claiming to be from a warrant division asking for money over the phone,

The male caller  is portraying a sergeant or lieutenant, named Joshua Reed.

He says there is a warrant out for their arrest for not showing up to grand jury. The man also says if you pay for the fines over the the phone the warrant for their arrest will go away.

Sheriff Mark Lusk says his office is investigating the scam. The urge you not to give out any personal information over the phone.
