Luzerne County EMA Keeping a Close Eye on Area Waterways

 LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) E.M.A. Officials across the area are keeping a close eye on rivers and streams.  The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick talked with the experts,

There has been some sporadic flash flooding in Luzerne County. Blackman Street was closed for a while on Tuesday. City engineers say the storm drains in the area were overwhelmed by the heavy rains.. 
River watchers are also keeping a close watch on the Susquehanna River.
 The River is expected to crest at 24 feet on Thursday afternoon. The levees protect the Wyoming Valley up to 42 feet..but there could be some minor flooding in low lying areas.
