(WBRE/WYOU-TV) Luzerne County officials are investigating a cyber-attack on their computer servers.
Most county computers are shut down as technology staff tracks and try to contain a virus.
Luzerne County Operations Manager Dave Parsnik tells Eyewitness News the attack began on Saturday when an employee opened an email attachment.
County IT shut down most computer servers so they can be scanned for the virus.
Parsnik does not believe any files were wiped out.
Offices that are open are doing the best they can without computers.
911 and EMA are not impacted.
The computer shutdown is expected to last through Thursday.
