STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A local hairdresser stepped up to help the homeless on Wednesday.
Samantha Sphikas reached out to ‘Street 2 Feet’ in Stroudsburg and offered to cut clients’ hair for free. The organization provides resources for people who have nowhere to go.
Samantha spent her day off of work giving basic trims and buzz cuts.
Eyewitness News spoke with one homeless woman who is thankful for the service.
“It was really nice, and I needed to get out the knots,” smiles Dorothy Clark.
“I figured I would help out the community with my services because I don’t have money or anything to donate besides my skills. So, I just figured I’d lift people up a little bit,” says Samantha Sphikas, local hairdresser.
About a dozen people now have new haircuts.
