Dept. of Health update on COVID-19 vaccinations

HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) — Department of Health Senior Advisor for COVID-19 Response Lindsey Mauldin hosted a virtual media briefing to provide a COVID-19 vaccine update in Pennsylvania. 

Mauldin announced in the briefing that more than 2.2 million vaccinations have been administered in the commonwealth as of Friday.

Mauldin also noted the decline in percent positivity for the week of February 12 through February 18, which stood at 6.5 percent.

The department says the trend in the 14-day average number of hospitalized patients per day by the coronavirus is about 3,900 lower than it was at the peak on December 25, 2020.
