Lending a Helping Hand to Fire Victims

(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A Schuylkill County community has rallied around 15 people who were displaced by a fire earlier this month.

A three-alarm fire left those who lived there with nothing. First United Methodist Church decided to help out by collecting items for the families. They were overwhelmed by the generosity of the community. They donated food, clothing, and pet food to help the families through this difficult time.

“They lost everything, so we started collecting clothes as you can see” said Frank Abati of First United Methodist Church.

The church says they were overwhelmed by the outpouring support of the community with the donations.
