WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) It was a celebratory day for the Catherine McAuley house in Plymouth, Luzerne County.
A ribbon cutting was held Sunday to honor the completion of the house’s backyard renovation.
The house is a transitional living facility for women and children in crisis.
‘Leadership Wilkes-Barre’ spearheaded the renovation to turn the backyard into a retreat for the children.
The project included a brand new playground, picnic area, new bikes and a basketball hoop.
