Lackawanna County Veterans to be Honored


SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A new plaque will honor local veterans in Lackawanna County.

   The plague will be in place for the 75th Anniversary of attack on  Pearl Harbor on December 7th.
  On Tuesday,  the 9/11 Memorial Committee showed the public the plaque.

 Charlie Spano of the 9/11 Committee said “On the plaque will be the names of 35 Lackawanna county veterans, who were at Pearl Harbor during that attack, and most of who survived, only one person on that plaque was killed that day.”

The official installment of the this plaque is next Wednesday, December 7th at noon at the Lackawanna County Courthouse.
