WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – An event aimed at preventing sudden cardiac arrest deaths among young people is held in Wilkes-Barre.
King’s College held free heart screenings and electro-cardiograms for students ages 12 to 19.
The Peyton Walker Foundation sponsored the event.
Peyton was a king’s sophomore who died in 2013 from sudden cardiac arrest.
Students were also trained in CPR and how to use an AED.
