King Neptune’s Goodbye


DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A Back Mountain business is saying goodbye after decades.

King Neptune Seafood closed its doors Saturday night for good.

For the last 40 years, it’s been serving-up fresh catches from the sea at its Dallas location.

The owner offered this heartfelt message to his loyal customers.

“I just wanted to thank everybody in the Back Mountain and people all over northeastern Pennsylvania for contributing to my wonderful years at King Neptune.  We started this business in 1960 and 1972 we built our store which exists now and finally we are at an end of an era,” says owner Bob Sorber.

Sorber agreed to sell his property on the Memorial Highway to 3 Guysin Dallas for additional parking space.
