ALLENWOOD, UNION COUNTY– Fate, passion, destiny, call it what you like, but Clyde Peeling has always known he wanted to work with reptiles!
His zoo, Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland, has been in business for over 50 years, but his love for the slimy and scaly has extended far beyond Pennsylvania! To start, Clyde hosts tours of the Amazon, Sahara, and other major biomes of the world that allow people to see animals in their natural habitats!
However, one of his biggest endeavors has been his traveling exhibits.
“Reptiles: The Beautiful And The Deadly, started in New Jersey at Liberty Science Center IN 1999, Clyde told Eyewitness News.
That single exhibit has been touring the country ever since, and he’s added more to the lineup. While museums often have outside exhibits visit, what makes Clyde’s so interesting is that they all include live animals!
Clyde says that by introducing people across the country to the animals he loves, he’s hoping they’ll understand that, in the end, we’re all connected.
