(WBRE/WYOU) – Just because you’re going to a Super Bowl party this weekend, doesn’t mean you can’t eat healthy!
On Sunday, many people will be throwing parties with a variety of snacks. UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport says some snacks can be healthy and easy to make.
“Instead of changing out your buffalo wings, look to use cauliflower. It’s nice change you still have the crispy texture. You can roast them in the oven or actually, batter them and deep fry them. Toss them with your wing sauce,” Executrive Chef Brian Yarborugh with UPMC Susquehanna said.
With big game festivities also comes drinking, but that is not an excuse to drink and drive.
“I want people to know to be responsible for what their doing. A lot of people think they can have a couple of drinks and still get in the car, but it’s very important to remember it’s not just about you, but you’re also putting a lot of people around you in danger,” Trauma Medical Director Ronen Elefant said.
Be sure to keep an eye on the kids at the parties too. If they go outside, make sure they are bundled up.
