(WBRE/WYOU) Republican Attorney General Candidate John Rafferty is the winner of the Republican primary.
Rafferty is a state representative in 44th district.
He released the following statement on Tuesday night.
“I am extremely honored and excited to be the Republican nominee for the Office of Attorney General,” Rafferty said. “I want to thank my voters and supporters for the work they did to help me win the nomination and ensure our Party is set up to win this race in November.
“This is just the first step, albeit an important one, in my quest to reshape and reform the Office of Attorney General. I promise to restore credibility and public confidence to the Office of Attorney General. As Attorney General, I will lead the office to ensure that we get back to working with law enforcement at all levels so we can do the important work of fighting crime, corruption and fraud.”
