A roadside memorial marks the spot where 21-year-old Joseph Coleman was struck and killed.
Coleman was walking along main street in Hanover Township at around 5:45 am Saturday, August 22nd, when he was hit by a yet unidentified vehicle and left for dead.
Coleman was only blocks away from his home.
People who live on this stretch of highway say traffic here is always moves fast and furious..
“It gets busy traffic goes pretty quick pretty fast. They go over 25 miles per hour and it’s easy if they don’t see anybody coming they just speed.” said Joan Glushefski
Glushefski has lived on main street for decades and says she hopes the hit and run driver comes forward or is found to give the Coleman family some peace.
“If it were my family I’d want some closure on it too.”
George Antall was taking his daughter’s dog for a walk today.
He’s confident police will track down the hit and run driver.
“I think the police still are actively after it. They do a good job in this town.”
The police are also investigating the April hit and run death of 61-year-old Larry Herbert.
He was killed as he crossed Hazle Street in April.
Both the Coleman and Herbert families are offering rewards for information that leads to the drivers of the hit and run vehicles…
