STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A growing number of female college students are using “sugar daddies” to pay for their college tuition.

There’s even a website specifically designed to match-up women and wealthy benefactors.

Students create a profile online at www.seekingarrangement.com and connect with wealthy benefactors, or “sugar daddies”, who help cover the cost of tuition.

Penn State happens to be one of the fastest growing “sugar daddy” markets in the nation.

A spokesperson for the website, Angela Jacob-Bermudo, said the only difference between Seeking Arrangement and other dating sites is that you know what’s in their wallets.

Seeking Arrangement does offer background checks, but it’s an optional service.

The obvious question — is this simply a new variation of prostitution?  Jacob-Bermudo said if anyone tries to solicit sex in exchange for money, that person is reported and removed from the website.
