(WBRE/WYOU) – Friday’s strong winds have caused scattered power outages across the viewing area.

According to PPL Utilities, as of 8 am, roughly 2,300 customers across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania are experiencing outages due to Friday’s high winds.

Trees on power lines was the most common reason for the outages.

PPL says most customers experiencing outages should see service restored by 3 pm.
