SUGARLOAF TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) Where is Bill Morse? The Sugarloaf Township man has not been seen since June 11. The I-Team’s Andy Mehalshick talked with police about this real-life mystery.
Have you seen 59-year-old Bill Morse? A photograph was taken on June 11th in Jim Thorpe. He went missing later that night from his home on Hollow Road in Sugarloaf Township.
“The family reported him missing on the 20th. He had been missing since June 11th that was the last time any one of the family had seen him.” Said Police Chief Josh Winters of Sugarloaf Township.
The mystery deepened last night when a family member found Morse’s coat here Hollow Road near his home. That coat is now in the custody of the police. Sugarloaf Township Police Chief Josh Winters urges anyone with any information no matter how insignificant they think it may seem to contact police.
“We’ll take the calls confidentially. If they want on Facebook however they want to contact us.’ said Chief Winters.
Bill and Beverly Lagoda live just down the street from the Morse home. They say this situation is very unsettling “I just can’t imagine of that poor man is laying in the weeds someplace and we can’t find him that makes my heart red.” Said Bill.
“We don’t know what goes on in this area. We really don’t know. We see the Township cops drive by her daily and we hope they catch what they see unusual.” Said Beverly.
The family and police are conducting a search of the area on Wednesday. If you have any information about Morse call police or 9-1-1.
