Guthrie ambulance stolen from emergency entrance, found in New York

SAYRE, PA (WETM) – The Sayre Borough Police Department reported that a Guthrie Ambulance was stolen from the Emergency entrance at Robert Packer Hospital around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Hours later, the Sayre Borough Police Department confirmed that the ambulance was located in New York. The exact location has not been told to the department at this time. 

The vehicle is described as a Ford F-350 Box Ambulance with an orange 101 on it. At this time it is unclear if a suspect has been identified.

“As confirmed by the Sayre Police Department, an ambulance was stolen this morning at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. The suspect may be a patient who was present at the Emergency Department and because of patient confidentiality, Guthrie cannot offer any additional comment,” Kathy Cramer, Manager, Corporate Communications at Guthrie told us.
