(WBRE/WYOU-TV) More fallout from the “Pennsylvania Grand Jury Investigation”.. into sexual misconduct in the Catholic Church. During a news conference in Philadelphia — lawyers announced a new lawsuit aimed at a former priest with ties to our area. The Allentown Morning Call” is reporting “Father Bruno Tucci” — formerly of Nesquehoning in Carbon County — was charged with molesting a boy in 1981. Investigators say it happened in Ocean City, Maryland.
The reports goes on to say Tucci was first investigated here in 2002 — and was later de-frocked and removed from service.
No charges were ever brought in Pennsylvania.. because the statute of limitations had expired.
