HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)- Governor Wolf is hosting a press conference today to celebrate the one year anniversary of signing the medical marijuana legislation in Pennsylvania.
He will also be honoring the families and advocates who helped support and pass the legislation.
The governor says since the signing, the Department of Health has implemented steps toward having the medical marijuana program fully implemented in 2018.
These steps include:
Temporary regulations for growers and processors, dispensaries and laboratories, releasing Phase 1 permit applications for growers and processors and dispensaries, completing the Safe Harbor temporary guidelines and Safe Harbor Letter application process, approving 226 applications, and releasing a Request for Quotations for Electronic Tracking IT solutions.
The press conference is today at 12:45 pm.
