Fugitive Shawn Christy’s Truck Found in Schuylkill County


RUSH TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) Shawn Christy has been on the run for more than two months after
Threatening President Donald Trump.  The multi-state manhunt returns to Schuylkill County, not far from his home in McAdoo that is where The I-Team’s Andy Mehlshick picks up the story.

Sources close to the investigation tell Andy Mehalshick they a red pick up truck allegedly stolen by Shawn Christy in Maryland was found in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart here early this morning.
The search is taking place here in the Tidewood Industrial Park near Hometown.. this area is between McAdoo – which is Christy’s Hometown/ and Tamaqua. Eyewitness News saw heavily armed U.S. Marshals, FBI agents and tracking dogs searching the woods here. Christy has led police on a multi-state search starting in his hometown of McAdoo, then the Butler Township area, upstate New York, Scranton area, West Virginia, Kentucky , Maryland and now back in Schuylkill County. 

He has allegedly stolen at least five vehicles to elude police.

 Last month agents say he stole handguns from his Uncle’s home in Butler Township. He is considered armed and dangerous. A $20,000 reward is being offered for his capture. We will have more on this still-developing story throughout the day.
