From Little League to the Major League- Former Players Stop by the Little League World Series


 Many youngsters  playing in the Little League World Series have a  dream  to the Major Leagues.

According to ESPN… 45 athletes have gone on to play in Major League Baseball after competing in the Little League Series when they were kids.

One of those players is Gary Sheffield. the retired outfielder who played for several major league teams including the New York Yankees played at Lamade stadium in 1980’s and stopped back on Tuesday to take in all of the excitement.

Sheffield recalled his little league experience “It’s funny how you could remember your thoughts when you were 11-years-old and that I’m back at 46-years-old, I remember every moment of this”

On Tuesday night,  Mariano Rivera was  Enshrined into the Little League Hall of Excellence.
