Free sensory-friendly show for kids

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) -- Children with special needs are getting a chance to enjoy a musical.

The King's College Theatre Department and the F.M. Kirby Center are teaming up to offer sensory-friendly shows.

The performance is called Freckleface Strawberry.  It's about a little girl who gets bullied because of her freckles and red hair.

The theme is "love the skin you're in".  It's an important lesson for kids and now it's accessible to all children.

These shows are catered to kids who have autism and emotional and behavioral disorders.

Showings of Freckleface Strawberry will have different seating arrangements, an activity area, and a place to relax.

Freckleface Strawberry is a free show that runs from next Friday through Sunday at the F.M. Kirby Center.
