LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)   Authorities are investigating a significant drug bust in Lycoming County. They say it may have ultimately saved lives  Eyewitness News Reporter Morgan Parrish has the story.

Four people were arrested early Thursday morning after the narcotics enforcement unit and Williamsport SWAT team executed a search warrant at Northway Road Apartments.

What they found was more than expected.
Police seized more than 35 hundred bags of heroine, 37 grams of cocaine, 98 oxycodon pills and more than one pound of methamphetamine.
Law enforcement officers say it’s alarming how much danger these drugs could have caused.

“This amount of drug is normally not common that we see this quantity. The Lycoming County Drug Task force did an excellent job and we were able to support their mission in taking this amount of drugs off the street.” said Randy Devine, Troop Commander Montoursville

“A pound of methamphetamine is 453 grams of meth. This was particularly high quality methamphetamine.” said Lycoming County District Attorney Eric Lindhardt.

Daniel Shank, Kadeen Crawford, Khayree Jackson and Markel Richardson were charged with 16 drug related offenses.
District Attorney Eric Linhardt says it most likely won’t end there.

“It is possible that additional individuals involved in the larger conspiracy will be charged and I anticipate those four individuals will be charged with additional offenses.”

Law enforcement has seen other large scale drug seizures in the past, and they will continue to do whatever it takes to protect the lives of the citizens.

“With the amount of drugs we took off the street, with no doubt we prevented overdoses and probably saved somebodies life.” said Trooper Devine

Police believe the drugs were brought here by way of Philadelphia.
In addition, the street value of the drugs totaled $116,000.
