HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A former police officer accused of forcing women into sex acts after traffic stops is facing more charges today after a fourth woman has come forward with accusations against him.
The new charges against former Police Officer Mark Icker were filed following an investigation into a traffic stop that took place in Sugar Notch during November of 2018 where Icker allegedly solicited sexual favors from a woman in exchange for not towing her uninsured car away while her boyfriend and three children were with her.
According to police, Icker stopped the woman along Main Street in Sugar Notch for a traffic violation. During the stop, Icker noticed that the woman had an expired inspection and lapsed insurance. While speaking to the woman away from the others, Icker allegedly agreed not to tow the car or issue a citation in exchange for her agreeing to exchange numbers and meet him later for oral sex.
The victim said she never did meet Icker, who identified himself as Mark Robinson at the time, despite several messages threatening to arrest her, but she did send him provocative pictures to buy more time.
Icker is facing Official Oppression and Criminal Coercion for this latest arrest.
