Fire destroys vacant home in Pittston


PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A home is destroyed after flames broke out early Friday morning in Pittston.

The fire started around 2:30a.m. at the back of home on John Street. The flames quickly spread. Power had to be cut to neighboring homes while firefighters battled the fire.

We’re told the house was vacant. A fire marshal has been called in to investigate a cause.
