Farmers’ market begins in Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)- An annual tradition that brings people to the city of Scranton gets underway once again.

The 78th season of the Scranton Co-op Farmers’ Market kicks off at noon today, It’s the only open-air market of its kind in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Hundreds of people will come out looking to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as baked and canned goods.

The Co-op Farmers’ Market will be open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through Thanksgiving.
