NEW MILFORD, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) Accused trooper killer Eric Frein is in a Pike County court room for his pre-trial hearing on Tuesday.
Frein is accused of the 2014 ambush shooting at the state police barracks in Blooming Grove.
Corporal Bryon Dickson was killed and trooper Alex Douglass severely injured in the attack.
A nearly 50-day manhunt finally led to the capture of Frein.
Defense lawyers want the death penalty dropped, saying it’s unconstitutional
The judge says he will not rule on that today.
They also want statements Frein made repressed.
