(WBRE/WYOU)- A warning for those heading out on Super Bowl Sunday about a risk on the roads. It concerns drunk driving.
PennDOT reports there were 17 alcohol-related crashes last year in Pennsylvania.
While drunk driving may not seem as great a threat as the flu, it’s certainly a risk to the health of anyone on the road, including the impaired driver leaving a Super Bowl party.
“They’re going to be drinking and then they’re going to be driving back, and then you mix weather, bad weather in with that, you know that we could possibly get snow and that’s just a recipe for diaster,” said Andreea Higdon. a traffic safety community educator for AAA Mid-Atlantic.
AAA Mid-Atlantic recommends having a plan before your Super Bowl party by traveling with a designated driver or some other sober ride choice.
