BRADFORD COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) The driver of a pick-up truck that struck and killed two people back in May is now charged with two felony counts of homicide by vehicle.
Police say on May 24th, 20 year old Tyler Freeman was traveling south on State Route 1-87.
Freeman allegedly attempted to pass another vehicle when he hit a motorcycle traveling northbound head-on.
David and Billie Jo Estelle were flown from the motorcycle and both succumbed to their injuries.
Freeman told police he veered into the oncoming traffic because he was attempting to avoid hitting an animal.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for the end of August.
