TREMONT, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Many residents in Schuylkill County are dealing with a mess after their vehicles were vandalized over the weekend.
Now Tremont Police are trying to track down whose responsible for egging dozens of vehicles.
Egg marks still stain cars after a night of mischief.
“It’s immaturity. I mean really, weren’t you taught any better.” Merill Lambert’s car was one of the vehicles that got hit in the early Saturday morning while it was parked right outside of his house on Spring Street.
Lambert was fortunate enough that his car was only hit by one egg, but there were more than a dozen other cars with damage much worse.
We’re told a total of 24 cars were hit between Clay, Spring, and Vaux Streets.
Tremont Police with the help of other agencies are trying to track down whoever is responsible for the crime. They are also helping people get damage estimates.
Merill Lambert says, “I can’t imagine spending that kind of money on that many eggs. Find something better to do with your time.”
As police investigate, they say they have some leads and are looking at surveillance video to catch whoever did it.
Tremont’s mayor says he’s offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest to show the community he does not tolerate this type of behavior.
