(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A brand new season of Harness Racing is set to begin on Saturday, March 16 at the Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono. Post-time for this Saturday’s season-opening event is 7-p-m.
On Wednesday, the race track officials kicked off the season with a special luncheon to talk about the upcoming season. Drivers and trainers are ready for another season and they talked about why Harness Racing at the Downs at Mohegan Sun is so special.

Racing opens for the season at the renowned 5/8 mile track on Saturday, March 16th, and continues in March on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with no racing on Sunday, March 17th. In April, the track moves to the regular schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday. Saturday and Sunday post is 7:00pm, and Monday and Tuesday is 4:00pm.
