LEHMAN TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) School students in our area put down their keyboards, today, and picked up drones instead.

Reach Cyber Charter school based out of hHarrisburg held a “Back to School” STEM Camp at the Penn State Campus in Lehman.

Students had the chance to ride a solar powered pedal car, learn about drones and experiment with catapults.

The camp gives students a chance to meet their teachers face to face and get hands-on learning experience.

“There are many jobs and careers out there in stem fields. a lot of women in stem are becoming popular. these jobs are out there and the school wants students to know that at an early age.” Said Scott Stuccio, Reach Cyber School STEM Coordinator.

Reach Cyber Charter school is going into its second year. It serves students in grades k through 11.
