Ashley, Luzerne County (WBRE/WYOU) — One man was sent to the hospital after a grinding crash with a PennDOT truck.
It happened on route 309 in Ashley around 6:30 Wednesday morning. Police tell Eyewitness News the car was heading north at a high rate of speed, when it collided with a PennDOT truck making a turn.
The driver of the car was trapped for a short time.
He was taken to the hospital, but no word on his condition.
Route 309 North is open again after being shut down for about an hour.
