Coolbaugh Township Fire Leaves Three Homeless

Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County-Three people lost everything in a Monroe County fire Thursday morning.
 
    Flames broke out at a home in a Pocono Country Place after six.
    Nearly fifty firefighters from five departments worked to get the fire under control.
    The house and a car were destroyed .
    The Assistant Fire Chief said the three people inside escaped with nothing but the pajamas they were wearing.
    A man who lives there told firefighters he thinks someone set the fire on purpose.
“They were sleeping at the time. The smoke detectors did sound, woke them. They did find smoke conditions in the house. They realized something was wrong, exited out of the house, out o the back of the house, ran over to the neighbor’s house to ask to call 911.” said Assistant Chief Bill Weimer
 
  A man who lives there told firefighters he thinks someone set the fire on purpose.
  A state police fire marshal said he is investigating.
