MILFORD, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) The Mother of fallen trooper Bryon Dickson takes the stand during the Penalty Phase of the Eric Frein Trial. Eyewitness News Reporter Eric Deabill has our story.
As a woman of great faith, Darla Dickson described her son Bryon as a jokester and someone who loved to laugh.
As she testified against Eric Frein, Friday, it’s clear she’s about forgiveness too…
Telling jurors… “I do not hat anyone, I do not hate Eric Frein.
Darla Dickson did stress she holds Frein accountable, but didn’t say what type of justice she wants to see.
Before prosecutors rested their case, they also called several other family and friends to testify… Including Sgt. Derek Felsman.
Felsman grew up in the state police with Bryan Dickson and described him in just on word: Impeccable.
Concetta Ukele also took the stand.
She told jurors how cpl. Dickson helped to save her life in 2009.
The last moment of the prosecutors case involved jurors seeing a video of Cpl. Dickson graduating the State Police academy and taking his oath as a trooper.
Defense lawyers didn’t want jurors to see that — objecting at one point — which they say they hesitated doing.
