Columbia and Montour Counties to Merge 9-1-1 Services

News

BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)     It’s been three years in the making.  Now two central Pennsylvania  counties are merging their 9-1-1 centers.

Columbia and Montour county commissioners say a state grant will make it reality.

In six to eight months they will combine their 9-1-1 centers – the first such merger in the state.

This comes after more than 800-thousand dollars in state funding was awarded to Columbia county.
