BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A new appeal for help in a cold case.
A Bloomsburg man has been missing for nearly a year now.
Search efforts have come up empty and investigators have no leads.
The father, Steven Whitenight, reached out to Eyewitness News Reporter Cody Butler to help spread the word.
Steven Whitenight has not seen his son since January.
31-year-old Steven Whitenight Jr. abandoned his car near the Bloomsburg Municipal Airport on ‘Airport Road’ the morning of January 14th.
Whitnight’s tracks lead investigators onto the bridge.
But with freshly salted roads his tracks quickly vanished.
“Closure is the biggest thing. Put the family at peace.”
These are pictures of the missing man his father is asking everyone far and near to be vigilant – he still has faith his son is alive.
“He was a very unselfish person. He would do anything for anyone.” said Whiteknight
Nearly 11 months since his disappearance the family just wants closure.
“it all goes back to we don’t know if he’s alive or not and if he were if someone would recognize the photos of him.”
Steven Whitenight Jr. Is listed as a missing person in the ‘national missing and unidentified persons’ database.
