SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) You don’t need to travel to the big apple to see some high-quailty Broadway entertainment.
    Professional actors and actresses are in Scranton getting ready to perform the hit musical “Chicago.”
    Eyewitness News Reporter Lauren Hensley has a sneak peak of the show:


    The lights are set, the music is cued and elite performers are ready to take the stage to perform Chicago at the historic Scranton Cultural Center.


“It brings a different vibe to the community and to the theater go-er that you can’t get when you are in New York,” said Jerry Donahue, Broadway Theatre League of NEPA.
     A taste of broadway without the drive or hefty city price.
    Getting  top-talent takes work and it’s the Broadway Theatre League that’s responsible for getting this live theater in the region

  “Our mission is to bring touring Broadway quality shows to the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre area,” said Frank Blasi, Broadway Theatre League of NEPA.
The talent is first rate.

“It’s a great show! The choreography you couldn’t ask for anything better,” said dance captain, Christophe Caballero.


    Christophe Caballero has been the dance captain for “Chicago” for the last decade.
    This all-star  performer  let me in on some of the secrets to the show’s biggest hit.  

    “The Great White Way” right here … on North Washington Avenue.

“Scranton, we are going to see you at the show,” said Caballero.

Performances run through the weekend at the Scranton Cultural Center:

Tonight 4/13 at 8 PM.

Tomorrow 4/14 at 2 PM and 8 PM.

Sunday 4/15 at 1 PM and 6:30 PM.
